SOLIDARITY MEETING BETWEEN AEON CO. AND AEON CO. WORKERS UNION MALAYSIA

 


On 8 July 2026, a Solidarity Meeting between AEON Co. and the AEON Co. Workers Union was successfully held at AEON Co. Headquarters, Taman Maluri.

The meeting aimed to strengthen the relationship between the Company and the Union through open communication, mutual understanding, and constructive collaboration for the mutual benefit of both parties.

The AEON Co. Workers Union extends its sincere appreciation to Mr. Tsugutoshi Seko, Managing Director of AEON Co., for accepting the Union's invitation and participating in this important Solidarity Meeting.

The meeting was also attended by Datuk Mohamed Shafie BP Mammal, President of UNI MLC, who expressed his sincere appreciation and full support for the continued cooperation between the Company and the AEON Co. Workers Union to ensure the best interests of both parties, in line with UNI MLC's philosophy of "Smart Partnership."

During the meeting, the AEON Co. Workers Union highlighted several significant issues and feedback gathered from employees for the attention of the Company's top management. The key matters raised included:

  • Protecting workers from abusive and harmful customer behaviour.
  • Providing continuous training and retraining opportunities for employees.
  • Addressing manpower shortages and the increasing workload on workers.
  • Reducing excessive pressure on employees to work overtime.


The meeting concluded on a positive and constructive note, with both the Company and the Union reaffirming their commitment to maintaining strong industrial relations, fostering mutual respect, and working together in the spirit of Smart Partnership to enhance the welfare of employees and support the continued success of AEON Co.
