NUBE MAY DAY CELEBRATIONS

More than 300 members from NUBE participated in the sports carnival organized by NUBE in conjunction with the May Day on 30^th April 2011.

The Former Chief Minister of the state of Negeri Sembilan and the member of the state assembly the Hon. Tan Sri Datuk Seri Haji Mohamad Isa were the Guest of Honour at this carnival.

Also present at this function Bro. Michael Tan the President of NUBE, Bro. J.Solomon the General Secretary of NUBE and Bro. Mohamed Shafie BP Mammal the President UNI Global Union-Malaysia.

Visit by Deputy General Secretary of UNI Global Union

On the 21^st April 2011, the Deputy General Secretary of UNI Global Union , Sis. Christy Hoffman made an official visit to Malaysia and the UNI Global Union-Malaysian Liaison Council (UNI-MLC) Secretariat for a meeting with Bro. Mohamed Shafie BP Mammal, President of UNI-MLC and UNI-MLC Affiliated Unions Committee Members in Malaysia .

Majlis Eksekutif Bertindak, Majlis Perhubungan Rangkaian Kesatuan Sekerja Antarabangsa Malaysia (UNI-MLC) & Kongres Kesatuan-Kesatuan Sekerja & Persatuan Dalam Syarikat GLC MENAFIKAN Terlibat Mesyuarat Dengan Pengerusi Sekretariat Pekerja Muda Pemuda UMNO, Kongres Kesatuan Sekerja Malaysia (MTUC) Dan Kesatuan-Kesatuan GLC (Petikan Berita Dari Akhbar Sinar Harian (Nasional), Mukasurat N4 Bertarikh 16hb. April 2011)

Majlis Eksekutif Bertindak GLC antara Majlis Perhubungan Rangkaian Kesatuan Sekerja Antarabangsa Malaysia (UNI-MLC) dan Kongres Kesatuan Kesatuan Sekerja Dalam Syarikat GLC telah wujud 2 tahun yang lalu dengan mempunyai 40 buah Kesatuan & Persatuan termasuk Sabah dan Sarawak, mempunyai 400,000 (Empat Ratus Ribu) ahli . .

Majlis Eksekutif Bertindak ini telah mengadakan Kunjungan Hormat dengan Y.A.B. Perdana Menteri, Malaysia pada 06.01.2009 dan telah menyampaikan Memorandum terus kepada Y.A.B. Perdana Menteri atas pelbagai isu termasuk Umur Persaraan.

Terkini Y.A.B. Perdana Menteri bersetuju untuk hadir dan merasmikan Konvensyen Khas GLC 2011 dalam masa terdekat dan dijangka lebih 500 orang pemimpin-pemimpin dari Kesatuan-Kesatuan Sekerja dan Persatuan GLC akan hadir dalam Konvensyen ini.

Sekretariat Konvensyen GLC ini mengadakan mesyuarat setiap bulan bagi tujuan Persiapan Konvensyen dan Isu-Isu yang akan dibangkitkan secara rasmi dalam Konvensyen ini kelak.

Dengan ini kami MENAFIKAN terlibat dengan mesyuarat yang dianjurkan oleh Sekretariat Pekerja Muda Pemuda UMNO dan Kongres Kesatuan Sekerja Malaysia (MTUC) dan meminta Sekretariat Pekerja Muda Pemuda UMNO dan Kongres Kesatuan Sekerja Malaysia (MTUC) menghormati adanya satu badan yang telah wujud bagi bertindak mengatasi isu-isu dalam Syarikat GLC.

NUBE PICKETS AT MENARA MAYBANK KUALA LUMPUR

The National Union of Bank Employees (NUBE) had picketing on 13th April 2011 in front of the Menara Maybank in Jalan Pudu, Kuala Lumpur. Bro. Michael Tan, President of NUBE, Bro. J. Solomon, General Secretary of NUBE, Bro. Mohamed Shafie, President of UNI-MLC, Bro. Robert, Vice President of MTUC and Vice President of UNI-MLC, and Bro. Abdul Razak, President of RUM along with a total of 200 members of NUBE participated in the picket.
