GENTING HIGHLANDS, 26 September 2026 — The Genting Malaysia Berhad Workers Union (GMBWU) proudly celebrated its Golden Jubilee 50th Anniversary at the Genting International Convention Centre (GICC) on 25 September 2026, commemorating five decades of dedication in championing workers’ rights, welfare, and unity.
The prestigious celebration brought together more than 2,500 union members, along with past and present leaders, distinguished guests, and representatives including Datuk Mohamed Shafie, President of UNI-MLC, and UNI-MLC leaders. The event honoured the pioneers, leaders, and members whose commitment and contributions have shaped the Union’s remarkable journey since its registration in 1976.
Datuk Mohamed Shafie conveyed his heartfelt appreciation and congratulations to Sdr. Sikindar, President Sdr. Ben Sua, and the Exco Members of GMBWU for their outstanding efforts in successfully organising the memorable Golden Jubilee celebration.
GMBWU extends its deepest gratitude to all members, guests, and supporters whose presence and contributions contributed to the tremendous success of this historic occasion.
