On the 8^th of August 2016, there was a courtesy call between UNI MLC leaders and the Chief Minister of Perak, Datuk Seri Diraja Dr. Zambry Abdul Kadir. The discussion for an hour was a very fruitful discussion. Many labour issues were brought up during the discussion. The UNI MLC leaders also expressed their sincere thanks and gratitude to the Chief Minister of Perak for officiating the 4^th UNI APRO Regional Conference which was held on the 7^th and 8^th of December 2015 at Istana Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
