Kuala Lumpur TimeSolidarity Visit by Dr. Rene E Ofreneo, Professor Emeritus from University of the Philippines and Ms. Vera Eileen V. Pupos, Extension Specialist School of Labour and Industrial Relations, University of the Philippines was held on 26th January 2024 at UNI-MLC office Kuala Lumpur.
Datuk Mohamed Shafie BP Mammal, President of UNI-MLC also General Secretary of ASETUC, warmly welcomed Dr. Rene E Ofreneo and Ms. Vera Eileen V. Pupos at this Solidarity meeting.
Bilateral discussion and focusing of the role of ASEAN Services Employees Trade Union Council (ASETUC), ASEAN Secretariat and Trade Union activities in general. The issues of migration for formal and informal workers including the women workers were given priorities during the discussion.
Also present in this meeting Bro. V.Mathialghan, Treasurer of UNI-MLC and Bro. Nadarajan Manickam from UNI-MLC.
