On 29.11.2019, UNI MLC organised a farewell dinner for Bro. Christopher Ng, Emeritus Regional Secretary of UNI Apro in Kuala Lumpur. The dinner was attended by more than 80 trade union leaders from UNI MLC affiliated Unions.

Bro. Christopher Ng has represented UNI Apro in various forums organized by variousinternational and regional organisations, including the ASEAN, ASEM, ILO, OECD and
World Economic Forum to voice the concerns of working people and propagate respect for labour standards and building partnerships between unions and business to tackle global and regional challenges.

During his more than 42 years of dedicated services with the trade union movement, he has contributed immensely to the development of the strength and influence of UNI Apro.

Brother Chris is a decisive and dynamic leader. As a unionist, his care and concern for workers and devotion to the trade union movement are unquestionable. Brother Chris has always been a Brother and Friend to all of us.

He is a leader who has devoted and sacrificed more than 40 years of his life, defending the rights of workers to achieve a common vision of a better world for everybody. We thank Bro. Chris for these years of service and long commitment to building Union cooperation across the Asia Pacific region and globally. We recognise his efforts to realise that goal and of the continuous support, understanding and sacrifice of his family to make this possible. His legacy will always be treasured and remembered.

UNI MLC wish Bro. Christopher Ng and his wife, Maureen Chua, continued good health and
happiness.
