UNI Apro MEI Workshop on Trade Union Capacity Building in the South East Asia Media Sector

On 13-14 May 2018, the UNI Apro Media Sector held a workshop on Trade Union Capacity Building the South East Asia Media Sector in Kuala Lumpur. This workshop was participated by 30 UNI Media Sector affiliated Union leaders from Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines and Singapore.

Also present at this Workshop was Bro Christopher Ng, Regional Secretary of UNI Apro, Datuk Mohamed Shafie BP Mammal, President of UNI MLC, Bro. Johannes Studinger, Head of UNI Global Union - MEI, Sis Michelle Bellino, UNI Apro Director for Youth, MEI and Asean Activities and  UNI Apro MEI Vice-President and Head of UNI MEI Malaysia, Bro. Khairuzzaman Hj. Mohammad.

The workshop focused on 3 main areas:

1. Country Reports on State of Union Growth and Collective Bargaining 
2. Tackling the Impact of Digitalisation in Media Companies
3. Capacity Building – Developing Our Strengths & Assessing Our Weaknesses
