Bro. Jens Saverstam Head of International Department Union of Services & Communication Employees (SEKO) Vice World President of UNI Post and Logistics Solidarity Visit to Malaysia on 31st November 2023, Kuala Lumpur.

Solidarity meeting was held in Kuala Lumpur on 31st October 2023 attended by delegates from DHL Global Forwarding Workers Union, Ericsson Executive Union & NinjaVan activist.

Also attended Datuk Mohamed Shafie BP Mammal – President, Bro. Mohd Effendy Bin Abdul Ghani – General Secretary, Bro. Shaffie Bin Osman – Vice President and Bro. V.Mathialaghan – Treasurer.

Datuk Shafie welcome Bro. Jens who travel all the way from Europe to meet these delegations this morning and thanks to all the union leaders who participate this meeting. He expresses his appreciation to SEKO for the solidarity support for organizing works in Malaysia.

Bro. Jens briefly introduced himself with informing to the participants that he has been working 15 years with SEKO and supporting many unions on organizing activities in many countries.

Upon the request from Bro. Jens, a Q&A session was carried out to share information on Trade Union Development in Sweden and comparing the situation in Malaysia.

He also mentioned about the upcoming challenges for Trade Union in all the sectors of the global economy due to rapid changes by AI (Artificial Intelligence). We need to limit dependency on AI, otherwise Trade union organizing will be more difficult in future. Eventually, he described about the GIG Economy and its impacts on Job Market.

Majlis menandatangani serentak Perjanjian Kolektif Pertama bagi tempoh 2018-2020 & Kedua bagi tempoh 2021-2023 di antara Kesatuan Eksekutif RHB Bank Berhad (KEEPER) bersama RHB Bank Berhad pada 16.10.2023, di RHB Centre, Jalan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur.

Kesatuan Eksekutif RHB Bank Berhad (KEEPER) di wakili oleh Sdra. Ahmad Fauzi Bin Mohamad, Presiden, Sdra. Muhammad Faizal Bin Basir, Setiausaha, Sdra. Kalma Mohammad Ayzad, Bendahari.

RHB Bank Berhad di wakili oleh YBrs Tuan Rashid Mohamad, Group Managing Director, Puan Wan Mariah Abu Hassan, Group Chief People Officer.

Majlis menandatangani Perjanjian Bersama ini di saksikan oleh YBhg. Tan Sri Ahmad Badri Mohd Zahir, Pengerusi RHB Bank Berhad dan YBrs Tuan Khalid Bin Jali, Ketua Pengarah, Jabatan Perhubungan Perusahaan, Malaysia.

UNI-MLC Youth Committee meeting is held today (5.10.2023) at UNI-MLC Office.

The meeting chaired by Tuan Haji Nikmatullah Bin Abu Baka Citi and attended by 13 Youth Committee members.

UNI-MLC President Datuk Mohamed Shafie BP Mammal welcome the Youth Committee and sharing the program for UNI-APRO Youth Workshop from 6 – 8 November 2023 which will be held in Kuala Lumpur. President also advice the Youth Committee to monitor the political situation, cost of living, hardship face by the workers especially those under B40. President also empowered the Youth Committee to make any press release pertaining to the cost of living and hardship.

Also present in this meeting Bro. Shaffie Osman, Vice President UNI-MLC, Bro. V.Mathialaghan, PJK Treasurer UNI-MLC and Sis. Fathlunnisak Ahmad Sani Chairman of UNI-MLC Women Committee.
