UNI Apro MEI and UNI Apro Graphical and Packaging Sector Conference

 

 

 

 

 

UNI Apro MEI and UNI Apro Graphical & Packaging held a joint sector conference for the first time in Fukushima from 11 to 12 Sept 2017.

The conference was held in Fukushima to provide an opportunity for the participants to observe how reconstruction has progressed after the nuclear power plant accident took place in 2011.

About 80 participants from 10 nation in Asia Pacific regions gathered at the meeting.

In MEI sector, Malaysia was represented by UNI MEI Malaysia representatives from 3 Unions :

1. Bro. Khairuzzaman Mohammad, President TV3 Malaysia Employees Union

2. Bro. Abd Rahim Desa, President PWS Executive Union

3. Bro. Hj Nazari Ibrahim, President TV3 Executive Union

4. Bro. ShahrulAzman Sharip, General Secretary TV3 Executive Union

The Conference statement was concluded with a focus on how to overcome worker's issues caused by digitalization. The statement says that AI (freelance workers) and its basic data must be used to eliminate disparity and not to accelerate it.

Bro. Khairuzzaman Mohammad, President for UNI MEI Malaysia and also President for TV3 Employees Union was elected as one of the Vice President of UNI Apro MEI for 2017-2021.
