Today 5th January 2012 we had a meeting between UNI-MLC, IKANO Pte Ltd Employees Union and Ms. Helle Woldby the Regional HR Manager of IKANO Retail Asia at the IKEA Office in Mutiara Damansara, Selangor.

Officially the IKEA union has been granted recognition on the 8th December 2011 and was confirmed by Ms. Helle Woldby at this meeting today

After a long struggle and extreme patience and with the support of everyone at the UNI Global Union Nyon, Regional Office UNI-APRO, IKANO Pte Ltd Employees Union and UNI-MLC with the blessing of God finally the recognition has been granted.

I wish to thank everyone who have given us the moral support for this achievement and I consider this is another Breaking Through for UNI Global Union.
