ASETUC Courtesy Meeting with the Secretary General of Ministry of Human Resources Malaysia

On 21 May 2015, ASETUC General Secretary, Brother Mohamed Shafie BP Mammal, together with BWI Regional Secretary, Brother Apolinar Tolentino, and the ASETUC Secretariat had a Courtesy Meeting with the Secretary General of Ministry of Human Resources Malaysia, Dato’ Saripuddin Kasim, in his office in Putrajaya.

Brother Mohamed Shafie started the discussion by introducing ASETUC and social dialogue initiated by ASETUC, while Brother Apolinar Tolentino elaborated the plan to host the 7^th Regional Tripartite Social Dialogue Conference (RTSDC) in Malaysia this year. The RTSDC is an ASETUC annual conference, hosted by the tripartite partners of a country which holds the Chairmanship of ASEAN, to discuss mutual interests in labour issues.

ASETUC is pleased to learn that the MOHR Malaysia is interested to work with ASETUC and the Malaysian Employer Federation (MEF) to host the said Conference, and looking forward to discussing more details about this plan.

Meeting held to strengthen the Two Union in ASTRO TV and to rebuilt the confidence of the leaders and the members.

The meeting held on 18.05.2015 at Sri Petaling Kuala Lumpur and this was the 1st gathering after 52 ASTRO Employees were terminated. Also present were UNI-MLC President Bro. Mohamed Shafie BP Mammal and UNI-MEI Sector Chairman and TV3 Union President Bro. Khairuzzaman B. Mohammad.

Bro. Fatih Aydemir had a meetings with UNI-MLC in Kuala Lumpur and Rengo Packaging (M) Sdn. Bhd. Employees Union in Shah Alam, Selangor on 14.05.2015. He also had a meetings with the NUNW, PNMB and RENGO Union Committee in UNI-MLC Office on 15.05.2015 to discuss Graphical & Packaging Sector activities in Malaysia.
