Consultation Meeting on Reforming Industrial Relations Act 1967 and Trade Union Act 1959

 

 

 

In collaboration with Global Union Federations*, the Decent Work Working Group organised a Consultation Meeting on Reforming the Industrial Relations Act 1967 and Trade Union Act 1959 on Sunday, 13th January 2019.

The Ministry of Human Resources has uploaded the proposed amendments to the Industrial Relations Act 1967 and Trade Union Act 1959 in their official website. Hence, once again IndustriALL Malaysian Council and Decent Work Working Group initiated another one full day consultation meeting on reforming Industrial Relations Act 1967 and Trade Union Act 1959.

The key focus of the consultation meeting was on developing a set of joint campaign strategies to communicate these demands widely amongst Malaysian workers and to put pressure on decision-makers to implement meaningful change.
