The 1^st CA signing ceremony for Malaysia Television System Berhad Executive Union was held at the Theatrette, Sri Pentas, Bandar Utama on the 29^th of June 2016 at 11.00am. This Collective Agreement was signed between Malaysia Television System Berhad and Malaysia Television System Berhad Executive Union for the period of 2015 to 2017.

On behalf of the company, the CA was signed by Datuk Kamal Khalid, Chief Executive Officer Television Network of Media Prima Berhad and Ms Nor Arzlin Redzwan, General Manager Human Resource Group of Media Prima Berhad. On behalf of the union, the CA was signed by Bro Prem Kumar K. S. Pillai, President of the TV3 Executive Union and Bro Shahrul Azman Sharip, General Secretary of the TV3 Executive Union

This ceremony was witnessed by Bro. Mohamed Shafie BP Mammal, the President of Union Network International-Malaysia Liaison Council (UNI-MLC). Also present was Bro Khairuzzaman Hj Mohammad, President of the TV3 Union and also President of UNI MEI Malaysia.

Primeworks Studios Sdn Bhd and Primeworks Studios Sdn Bhd Executive Union signed the 1st CA on the 29th of June 2016. The signing ceremony was held at Theatrette, Sri Pentas, Bandar Utama at 3.00pm.

This union was organized and assisted by UNI-MLC from winning the Secret Ballot up to the signing of the Collective Agreement.

On behalf of the company, the CA was signed by Mr Ahmad Izham Omar, Chief Executive Officer of Primeworks Studios Sdn Bhd and Ms Nor Arzlin Redzwan, General Manager Human Resource Group of Media Prima Berhad. On behalf of the union, the CA was signed by Bro Abd Rahim Mohd Desa, President of Primeworks Studios Sdn Bhd Executive Union and Bro Rajaendran Ramasamy, General Secretary of Primeworks Studios Sdn Bhd Executive Union.

This ceremony was witnessed by Bro. Mohamed Shafie BP Mammal, the President of Union Network International-Malaysia Liaison Council (UNI-MLC). Also present was Bro Khairuzzaman Hj Mohammad, President of the TV3 Union and also President of UNI MEI Malaysia.

This CA will benefit all executives in TV3 and will take place from 2015 to 2017.

Gold Mining Employees' Union Wins Secret Ballot

After a long battle by Gold Mining Employees' Union that is located in Pahang, finally, the Ministry of Human Resources has agreed to conduct the Secret Ballot on the 15th of June 2016 and UNI-MLC played a very important role in assisting them in the Secret Ballot campaign, as this union is located in a very remote area. This union has won the Secret Ballot with a majority of 80%.

7^th Collective Agreement between TM and SUTE

 

 

 

 

 

The Sabah Union of Telekom Employees (SUTE) has successfully signed the 7^th collective agreement between TM and SUTE.

The event was held on 15th June 2016 at Le Meridien Hotel Kota Kinabalu. The management of TM was represented by Y Bhg Tan Sri Dato' Sri Zamzamzairani Mohd Isa, Group Chief Executive Officer of TM and Dato' Mohd Khalis Abdul Rahim GHCM Chief Executive Officer while SUTE TM Sabah was represented by Mr. Hj Adnan Bin Jalil, President of SUTE and Mr. Jaflee Hj Hassan, Secretary General of SUTE.

Among the articles that have been agreed to is in relation to the salary adjustment, a new salary structure, increment in cola allowances and housing assistance. Members also enjoy broadband facilities for free right up to 5M.

UNICARE APRO Regional Meeting

7th and 8th of June 2016

On the 7th and 8th of June 2016, the UNICARE APRO Regional Meeting was held in Federal Hotel Kuala Lumpur.  There were participants from Uruguay, Argentina, Singapore, Korea, United Kingdom, Japan, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Nepal, Philippines, Sri Lanka and Malaysia. The objective of the meeting was to develop organising strategies for UNICARE areas of work and plans for organising within the region and for the UNICARE sector to discuss establishing a regional UNICARE working structure, areas for collaboration and skills sharing, and the regional action plan in line with the UNICARE Action Plan adopted at UNICARE’s global meeting in Argentina in 2015.

 Among those who were present in this meeting was Mr Carlos West Ocampo from Argentina, the President of UNICARE World, Mr Federico West Ocampo from Argentina, Mr Alan Sable from Uruguay, Sector Coordinator of UNI Americas, and Mr Christopher Ng, Regional Secretary of UNI APRO.

This workshop was coordinated by Bro Satoshi Tamai, Director of Organizing Campaigns and UNICARE.
