UNI-MLC Employer-Trade Union Partnership Award 2011
It is a historic moment in Malaysia. For the first time UNI – MLC Awarded Best Employer – Trade Union Partnership Award 2011 on 15.12.2011.
The award was handed over by Bro. Mohamed Shafie BP Mammal President of UNI – MLC to Y.Bhg. Datuk Kamal Khalid, COO Shared Services Media Prima Berhad (TV3) and witnessed by Bro. Christopher Ng Regional Secretary of UNI – APRO, Y.Bhg. Dato’ Amrin Awaluddin, Group Managing Director Media Prima Berhad (TV3) and Bro. Kamaruzzaman Mohammed the President of TV3 Employees Union. The events was witnessed by more then 100 leaders from UNI – MLC affiliated Unions.

Leadership Seminar for DIGI Workers Malaysia
On 10th December 2011 UNI-MLC, UNI-APRO and ICTJ organized a Leadership Seminar for DIGI Workers at Shah Alam, Selangor.
25 activists from DIGI participated in this Seminar and also attended by Bro. Seiji Tokuraku National Executive Officer of ICTJ, Sis. Fumiko Kimura International Secretary of ICTJ, Bro. Dr. Kun Wardana Abyoto Directro of ICTS-APRO and Bro. Mohamed Shafie BP Mammal President UNI-MLC.
All these speakers share their experience on Organizing Trade Union and Creating Safety Net to protect the members and family.
In conclusion all participant pledge their support and commitment to build and develop DiGi Telecommunications Sdn. Bhd. Employees Union.

Inaugural UNI-ICTS Global Union Conference, MEXICO City 20-21 October 2011
A total of 147 Delegates from 54 Affiliated Unions from 32 countries attended the Historic UNI-ICTS Global Union Conference in Mexico City on 20-21 October 2011. Bro. Francisco Hernandez Juarez was elected as the UNI-ICTS World President. This is the new sector composing the Telecom, Ibits and the multimedia sector of the past.
Malaysia was represented by 4 Delegates:-
- Bro. Mohamed Shafie BP Mammal – President UNIVEN
- Bro. Hj. Mohamad Ibrahim Bin Hamid – President UTES Sarawak
- Bro. Roslan Bin Tajuddin – General Secretary of UTES (Sarawak)
