On 5th July 2018, UNI MLC organised a solidarity visit to the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) in Bangi.

During the visit, almost 115 trade union leaders from various Unions affiliated to UNI MLC had the opportunity to listen to a briefing by the Chairman of NIOSH, Y.Bhg. Tan Sri Datuk Seri Lee Lam Thye.

UNI MLC leaders was also taken on a tour around NIOSH to learn more on the importance of occupational safety and health at workplaces.

UNI MLC President, Datuk Mohamed Shafie BP Mammal express his gratitude to Y.Bhg Tan Sri Datuk Seri Lee Lam Thye for accepting the delegation from UNI MLC and for the wonderful hospitality given to UNI MLC during this visit.

Datuk Mohamed Shafie also express our sincere thanks to all the staff at NIOSH for their kind assistance and for making this visit a success.

UNI MLC recognised the services rendered by Y.Bhg Tan Sri Datuk Seri Lee Lam Thye and UNI MLC announced that we appoint Y.Bhg Tan Sri to become our UNI MLC advisor.

Y.Bhg Tan Sri expressed his gratitude to UNI MLC and he accepted the appointment as an advisor to UNI MLC.
