Bro. Mohamed Shafie BP Mammal Conferred Panglima Mahkota Wilayah Title (Datukship) by KDYMM Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong XV Sultan Muhammad V

 

 

On 1 February 2017, Bro. Mohamed Shafie BP Mammal, the President of UNI Malaysia Labour Centre (UNI MLC), Vice President of UNI Apro and the Secretary-General of Asean Services Employees Trade Union Council (ASETUC), was conferred the Panglima Mahkota Wilayah (PMW) which carries the title of "Datuk" by Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong XV Sultan Muhammad V.

This award, also known as the “Most Distinguished Order of the Territorial Crown”, is given once a year to recognize and acknowledge the contribution of distinguished service in various fields.

Bro. Shafie has served the nation for over 44 years and has formerly held the position of Vice President of the Congress of Unions of Employees in the Public and Civil Services (CUEPACS) and Deputy President of the Malaysian Trade Union Congress (MTUC).

Bro. Shafie humbly accepts this award and shares it with trade union leaders in this country especially those in UNI MLC, ASETUC, GLC Unions, UNI APRO and UNI Global Union.
