UNICARE APRO Regional Meeting

On the 7th and 8th of June 2016, the UNICARE APRO Regional Meeting was held in Federal Hotel Kuala Lumpur.  There were participants from Uruguay, Argentina, Singapore, Korea, United Kingdom, Japan, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Nepal, Philippines, Sri Lanka and Malaysia. The objective of the meeting was to develop organising strategies for UNICARE areas of work and plans for organising within the region and for the UNICARE sector to discuss establishing a regional UNICARE working structure, areas for collaboration and skills sharing, and the regional action plan in line with the UNICARE Action Plan adopted at UNICARE’s global meeting in Argentina in 2015.

 Among those who were present in this meeting was Mr Carlos West Ocampo from Argentina, the President of UNICARE World, Mr Federico West Ocampo from Argentina, Mr Alan Sable from Uruguay, Sector Coordinator of UNI Americas, and Mr Christopher Ng, Regional Secretary of UNI APRO.

This workshop was coordinated by Bro Satoshi Tamai, Director of Organizing Campaigns and UNICARE.
