Trade Union Awareness Campaign for DHL Global Forwarding Employees Union & DHL Supply Chain, Penang

 

On 11^th November 2013, there was a awareness campaign organized by UNI-MLC along with DHL Forwarding Employees Union leaders and DHL Supply Chain workers in Penang. Bro. Mohamed Shafie BP Mammal, President of UNI-MLC was present at the event along with one special guest from the Department of Trade Unions Penang, Puan Norainiza Bt Bashuri.

Bro. Mohamed Shafie BP Mammal spoke on the plans to seek recognition for DHL Forwarding Union. He urged the organizer and the executive committee of DHL Forwarding to help in the organizing of DHL Supply Chain. He said they have the full support of UNI-MLC in implementing the work plan for organizing in DHL Forwarding and also DHL Supply Chain.

Puan Norainiza Bt Bashuri, the Deputy Registrar thanked the union for the invitation to speak to the participants. She said the Government and her Department in Penang supported the rights of the workers to be union members.
