UNI-SCORE ORGANIZING WORKSHOP

The UNI-SCORE Orgazning Workshop was held on 22^nd October 2013 at the Federal Hotel Kuala Lumpur. This workshop was attended by UNI-SCORE and UNI-APRO Officials, Bro, Neil Andersson (Head of UNI-SCORE), Sis. Joanna Katsoulas (Senior Organizer of UNI-SCORE), Bro, Rajendra Acharya(Director of Trade Union Development Activities UNI-APRO) , President of UNI-MLC, Bro. Mohamed Shafie BP Mammal along with 68 other trade union leaders and organizers.

This was a cross sectoral forum where old and new unions participate in group work discussing the challenges and strategies on collective actions concerning organizing  to achieve more concrete agenda with UNI-MLC in the future.

Bro. Neil, Sis. Joanna and Bro. Rajendra were very satisfied with the outcome of this workshop. Bro. Neil said it is good for UNI-SCORE to learn about the challenges in Malaysia because it helps them think about what can be done to help the current situation in Malaysia for a better future in organizing.

The only thing that he regrets is that it was not long enough. We had to push and squeeze so much in a small space of time. Perhaps on the next trip we could spend more time and learn more about each other.
