A joint meeting between UNI APRO, UNI MLC & AEON Union was held on 17 December 2014 at the UNI MLC Head Office in Kuala Lumpur.

Present at this meeting was Bro. Christopher Ng, Regional Secretary of UNI APRO, Bro. Satoshi Tamai, Director of UNI APRO Organizing, Bro. Kenji Niizuma, Bro. Tetsuro Murakami and Sis. Mana Okada from AEON Group Workers Union and Bro. Mohamed Shafie, President of UNI MLC.

The purpose of this meeting was to discuss and plan the organizing of AEON companies in Malaysia mainly Aeon Big (M) Sdn. Bhd.
