Meeting & Signing MOU - AEON Big Managers Union & AEON Big Employees Union

 

 

 

 

On 19^th November 2015 a meeting was held at AEON Big Malaysia office in Subang Jaya, Selangor between Mr. Nakata, President of AEON Big, Bro. Mohamed Shafie BP Mammal, President of UNI-Malaysia Labour Centre (UNI-MLC), Bro. Tamai Satoshi, Director of Organizing and Campaigns of UNI-APRO, Bro. Zulkarnain Arifin, President of AEON Big Managers Union, Sis. Hafizatol Shaziana Bt. Zulkebli, President of AEON Big Employees Union and other union committee members and UNI-Malaysia Labour Centre (UNI-MLC) staff.

In conjunction with this meeting MOU was signed between the Company and the two unions. This marks another breakthrough for both AEON Big Managers Union and AEON Big Employees Union.

In the MOU the Company commits to extend Voluntary Recognition to both the unions in January 2016. The Company also shows its support towards the unions by scheduling some roadshows in December 2015 and January 2016 to promote union awareness to staff.

This meeting ends well with Bro. Mohamed Shafie BP Mammal, President of UNI-Malaysia Labour Centre (UNI-MLC), Bro. Zulkarnain Arifin, President of AEON Big Managers Union and Sis. Hafizatol Shaziana Bt. Zulkebli, President of  AEON Big Employees Union together pledging to remain supportive and standing firmly behind AEON Big and its top management.
